Spring Golf Meeting

On a bright and breezy day, 11 members donned their golf shoes and plus fours (not really) to participate in the Brighton Spread Eagles Spring Golf Meeting that took place at Lewes Golf Club.

Getting to the course was the first hurdle to overcome with a very steep, bumpy and narrow lane leading up to the course, with yours truly having to reverse about 50 yards to allow a large transit van to pass!!

After the usual bacon rolls and coffees, we set out round the hilly course with some using buggies to aide their aging legs...including me!

The course was in good condition and with no rain and just a few clouds it was all set for some reasonable scores to be had.

In the end it was a close run affair with all 11 golfers within 10 stableford points of each other and the winner of the RT Box Memorial Trophy was Graham Clark with 37 points, second was Mark Allen with 36 points closely followed by Chris Hudson on 35 points.

Following the golf we had chicken and chips to finish off the day.
