Spring Golf Meeting

Held at royal eastbourne golf club on Tuesday 21st April 2026 

Just 13 members arrived at Royal Eastbourne Golf Club and before the golf, sat down to an excellent meal of Ham Egg & Chips served in the Clubhouse.

Unfortunately only 12 actually played golf as Jim Snow had back injury that prevented him from playing. (Get better soon)

Although it was a bit chilly and breezy, it was pleasant enough for the participants to enjoy the afternoon.

The course was in excellent condition and there were no (valid) excuses as the golfers attempted to accumulate stableford points during their round.

Scoring was varied, ranging from just 19 points to an incredible 39 points.

Anyway after the most enjoyable round of golf, our organisers announced the winners for the day.

They were:

Winner of the R T Box Memorial Trophy - Mark Allen with 39 points.   Just one point behind in second place was Terry Webb with 38 points. And in a very respectable 3rd place, was our organiser, John Jago with 33 points.

The 2 prizes for 'Nearest the Pin' both went to Terry Webb

Best front 9 went to Julie Webb and the best back 9 to Don Semmons
