MID-SUMMER LUNCH

 SUSSEX COUNTY CRICKET GROUND HOVE

On a pleasantly warm afternoon, 60 members and their guests attended this years Mid Summer Lunch at the cricket ground in Hove.

On arrival there was tea or coffee available as well as the pay bar for the alcoholic drinks. We were then treated to an excellent 2 course lunch that was first class as was the service that we received from Lauren and her staff. Everyone agreed it was a superb meal.

Following the meal, Don again organised his 'House of Games' style quiz where 7 teams competed for the array of stunning prizes!!

Each team was made up from the people sitting at the numbered tables and after a closely fought contest the winners were table 4, captained by Glynis Spells with Michael Spells, John & Norma Lockyer, John & Sarah Jago and Mike & Marilyn Hewson. Close behind in second place was the Chairman's table with Dave & Jill Stedman, Nigel & Jayne Parsons, Val & John Figg and Anna & Peter Brady.

The prize for coming 7th or 'last' if the truth be told was table 2 who have asked to remain anonymous!!!
